Delta Clipped Wings helped make a 'Dream Come True' for Bryson Amos of College Park, Ga., on Oct. 23. His dream was to go to Best Buy in Fayetteville and shop for a camcorder and computer. The dream was delivered by Susan Sessions and Cynthia Hale, members of Delta Clipped Wings Club, which is made up of retired and active flight attendants employed by Delta Air Lines, who support Dreams Come True as one of the clubs charities. In 1983, 'Dreams Come True' was founded by Becky Lavender of Atlanta, in honor of their son John. Martha McConkey is the president and director of Dreams and heads up a non-profit, all volunteer organization that works with Children’s Healthcare at Egleston, Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding Hospitals in Atlanta with children who have cancer and blood diseases. This is a one time Dream for the child. Delta Clipped Wings is especially thankful for the opportunity to help with Bryson's dream. login to post comments |
