WMS softball wins thrid straight county title

WMS softball The 2006 Lady Wildcats are (as pictured bottom to top, left to right) Alysa Glaze, Peyton Roth, Kaitlyn Johnson, Erica Bell, Kaylee Kehoe, Kimberly Wilson, Lane Colyer, Coach Guy Ernest, Quinn Williamon, Kristen Bohrer, Lindsey Whitener, Allison Maloney, Holley McGowan, Coach Natalie Waller, and Coach Denise Roth.
The Whitewater Middle School girls softball team are the Fayette county champions for the third year in a row. The Cats went undefeated in the regular season for the third straight year and were the number one seed going into the end of the season double-elimination tournament. They received their first loss in two years in the second game of the tournament which meant they had to win three games back-to-back-to-back in one day to take home the trophy. The girls showed their heart, determination, and toughness in winning those three games. The Cats final record on the season was 13-1, and they outscored their opponents in those games 108-26. The Cats combined record over the past three years is 34-2.
