Fayette County Special Olympians ride to glory in Perry, Ga.

The Fayette County Special Olympics Equestrian Team recently competed in the Equestrian Special Olympics in Perry, Ga. This was the second year the the team competed in the event and they were dominant this year, with each local athlete taking home at least one gold medal. The team and several volunteers train every Saturday at the Reece Center for Handicapped Horsemanship in Palmetto, Ga. and the training prepares the athletes and their horses to compete in Equitation, Horsemanship and Trail.
