Two males were arrested and woman is being sought by Fairburn Police in connection with a Sept. 3 armed robbery at the Family Dollar store in Hudson Plaza.

Charged with one count of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime were Larrell Johnson, 17, of Fairburn, and a 15 year-old male, also of Fairburn, said Det. Ben Pace. Johnson was arrested at his home. The juvenile was arrested at Creekside High School with the assistance of Fulton County School Police, Pace said. Also sought in the incident is 24 year-old Fairburn resident Niesha Maria Johnson, Larrell Johnson’s sister, Pace said. Niesha Johnson is also wanted by Dublin Police on unrelated charges.

The Sept. 3 armed robbery occurred at approximately 6 p.m. when Larrell Johnson and the male juvenile entered the Family Dollar store posing as customers, said Pace. While purchasing candy Niesha Johnson entered the store wearing a bandana around her head and covering her mouth with her shirt, Pace said. She was carrying a semi-automatic handgun and approached the cash register demanding money, he added.

Pace said each of the perpetrators in turn grabbed money from the register and fled the store, with Niesha Johnson being the last to leave. A total of $151 was stolen.

Pace said Niesha Johnson fled on a bicycle while Larrell Johnson and the juvenile left the area on foot. The three met up a short distance away along U.S. Highway 29.

Pace said Sept. 3 was not the first occasion the three had visited the store. They approached a store employee on Sept. 2, inquiring about issues such as security systems and alarms, asking if the employee would assist them for a cut of the take, Pace said. The employee reported the inquiry to the manager, though both believed he had been approached about a potential shoplifting incident. Pace said the manager and employee noticed Larrell Johnson and the juvenile enter the store Sept. 3 but did not realize their plans included armed robbery until the incident began, Pace said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Niesha Johnson is asked to contact Fairburn Police at (770) 964-1441.
