Regarding the estate of John Byrum: My ancestor Barton Dyson Smith was one of the purchasers of property. Barton Dyson Smith was the son of Basil Smith and Catherine Byrum of Coweta/Campbell (originally North Carolina). Catherine died young and Basil remarried a niece-in-law (Margaret Amanda Atchison).
