The Miss Northgate Pageant will be held this Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Centre for Performing Arts on Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the festivities begin at 7. This is the ninth consecutive year for the pageant and all girls, freshman through seniors, are eligible to participate. The winner receives a savings bond as do the first and second runner up.

Contestants are judged on presentation, poise, scholarship and appearance. There are also awards for Most Photogenic and four grade level princesses will be crowned.

The evening includes musical entertainment by “The Periphery” and a silent auction that features a wide variety of items for bid. Past years have included gift certificates for popular local restaurants and service establishments, sports and theater tickets, themed baskets, artwork from local artists and more.

All proceeds benefit the Northgate High School soccer program. Tickets are $5 at the door and the public is welcome.
