Joseph L. "Joe" Graves, 80, Fayetteville, died Nov. 11, 2006. He was born March 28, 1926 in Fayette County, son of Judge Julius and Myrtie Byrd Graves. Services were at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland, and the Rev. Gary Parrish officiating. Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery, Tyrone. Survivors include his wife, Helene Barge Graves, Fayetteville; sons, Mickey Graves, and Larry Graves, both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Shelley Graves Thomas, Andrea Graves Mueller, Brett Graves, Cappi Graves, and Kim Fortner; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Julius A. Graves, Fayetteville; and a sister, Lela Mae Peek, Fairburn. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
