George K. Payne, 71, Hull, Ga., died Nov. 6, 2006. He was born in Jackson County, son of the late Kinimer and Eva Payne. He was a member of Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was retired from the United States Postal Service. Services were at the Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Passmore officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Kitty Seagraves Payne, Hull; sons, Mike Payne, Fayetteville, George Payne, Commerce, and Barry Fitzpatrick, Savannah; daughters, Susan Boswell, Jefferson, and Donna Sisk, Danielsville; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge.
