PTC DeMolays feed homelessTue, 11/14/2006 - 3:24pm
By: The Citizen
The Peachtree City Chapter, Order of DeMolay undertook its first community service project on Oct. 20 by preparing box lunches and distributing them to homeless individuals in downtown Atlanta. The food was purchased by the boys and the containers were donated by the Waffle House on Ga. Highway 54 in Peachtree City.
DeMolay is for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. Under the advice of adults, leadership skills, civic awareness, responsibility and character development are learned through a variety of self-directed, real world applications and activities such as this project. Through these and other activities the young men of DeMolay prepare to be “Tomorrow's Leaders Today.” Young men or parents with an interest in or questions about DeMolay in Peachtree City may contact the chapter advisor, Skip Mason, at 770-487-6482. login to post comments |
