Don Nixon has by now become well known for his many coups d'art in bringing prestigious events to the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts of Coweta County. Last year he managed to get the Miss Georgia USA and the Miss Georgia Teen USA officials to agree to use the Arts Centre as the venue for their annual pageants. The officials were pleased and have decided to return the the Arts Centre to hold this year's pageants. 
 
The preliminary competitions for both pageants will be held on Nov. 10, the Miss Georgia USA Pageant at 6:30 p.m. and the Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageant at 8:30 p.m. The final competition for both pageants will be held on Nov. 11, Miss Georgia Teen USA at 3:30 p.m. and the Miss Georgia USA at 8 p.m. Tickets for each preliminary competition are $25 and tickets for each final competition are $35. Tickets can be purchased at the Arts Centre or at Scotts Bookstore in Newnan or at Morgan Jewelers at the Forum in Newnan.
