In a ceremony at Peachtree City United Methodist Church on Oct. 1, Andrew M. Spears was awarded the Eagle Scout Rank. Spears refurbished an outdoor classroom at Braelinn Elementary for his Eagle Scout project. He is a freshman at Starr's Mill High School and has been a member of Troop 175 for four years.  Spears is the son of Scott and Cathy Spears of Peachtree City.
