James Norwood Neal, 77, Fayetteville, died Nov. 2, 2006. He was born Aug. 3, 1929 in Charlotte County, Va. He was preceded in death by a brother, William P. Neal, and a sister, Garnette Milton. He was retired from General Motors at Lakewood. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Services were at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Myrna Neal, Fayetteville; children, Gina Chick, Terri Johnston, Kelly Daniel; grandchildren, Clint Johnston, Kyle Johnston, Jeff Chick, Laura Chick, and Whitney Daniel; a brother, Harold K. Neal; and sisters, Mildred Eubank, Doris Jennings, Martha “Kay” Peterson, and Emily Thomas. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
