OLM boys and Landmark girls win region titles, four nab individual region crowns

The Our Lady of Mercy boys won the region 5-A championship with a total of 18 points, while Landmark Christian placed second with 50 points. Mercy’s top five all placed within the top six.
The top five for the Bobcats were:
• Jake Lethbridge, 1, 16:15
• Matt Lethbridge, 2, 16:19
• Thomas Raville, 4, 16:53
• Jared Cooper, 5, 17:08
• Tim Kennedy, 6, 17:15.

Landmark’s top five were:
• Chad Thames, 3, 16:42
• Alek Pike, 7, 17:25
• Michael Leonard, 8, 17:27
• Daniel Hix, 13, 17:58
• Alan Krigline, 19, 18:13

Landmark Christian’s girls won the region title with 36 points, while Our Lady of Mercy placed third with 65 points.
Landmark’s top five were:
• Hannah Gravitt, 1, 19:44
• Georgiana Moody, 6, 20:54
• Christian McGuire, 9, 21:48
• Kaity Bulger, 10, 21:59
• Kassi Deel, 14, 22:07

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were:
• Sarah Hohenberger, 5, 20:44
• Jessica Adams, 7, 21:15
• Ashley Kennedy, 11, 22:03
• Lauren Hohenberger, 18, 22:40
• Kelsey Oberst, 31, 23:51

In the region 2-AAAA meet, Woodward Academy’s boys and girls placed first and were followed by McIntosh and Starr’s Mill in second and third place.

The top five runners for the McIntosh girls were:

The top five runners for the Starr’s Mill girls were:

The top five runners for Whitewater’s girls were:

• Feagan Hunt, 21, 22:12

Fayette County’s top five runners on the girls side were:
• Rebecca Kollmeyer, 33, 24:04

Fayette County’s top five runners were:

Whitewater’s top five runners were:
• Josh Adair, 7, 17:34

Full results of the region 6-AAA meet are unavailable but the Lady Patriots finished as runners-up in the region and had four runners in the top 20. They were:
• Alexis Blackburn, 3, 21:42
• Marina Fleming, 4, 21:45
• Mia Jones, 8, 22:25
• Shelby Bolling, 12, 23:00

The boys team place fifth and had two runners in the top 20. They were:
• Dustin Page, 10, 18:14
• Jerry Riet, 16, 18:49

The state cross country meet will take place this Saturday at Carrollton High School. The Class A boys race will start at 10 a.m. with the Class A girls race beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Class AAA boys will run at 1 p.m. with the girls following at 1:30 p.m. The Class AAAA boys will race at 2:30 p.m. and the girls will close out the day of racing at 3 p.m.
