A man police were seeking in connection with a Fayetteville kidnapping case has turned himself in to authorities, police said.

Mac Arthur Prayor turned himself in early Thursday morning to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, police said.

Prayor is charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, armed robbery and theft by taking after he accosted his ex-girlfriend at her Meadowbrook Court home in Fayetteville in the early morning hours of Monday, Oct. 23, police said.

Prayor barged into the victim’s home and kidnapped her at knifepoint, driving her to a residence in the county where he purchased some crack cocaine, police said. The victim, who had been gagged, escaped when Prayor drove into a church parking lot, and she later flagged down a bystander who drove her back to Fayetteville, police said.

The victim did not receive any physical injuries during the incident, police said.
