Firefighters Eric Pierce and Brad Haralson from the city of Newnan Fire Department accepted the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Certificate of Award for Excellence in proper use, correct display and patriotic presentation of the flag of the United States of America at the September 26 meeting of the Newnan City Council meeting. Jane Petsch, flag chair, General Daniel Newnan Chapter, presented the award together with flag lapel pins to fire fighters Pierce and Haralson, Captain Ben Johnson and Fire Chief David Whitley as well as members of the City Council and Mayor Keith Brady.
