O. W. Lumsden, 90, Sharpsburg, died Oct. 27, 2006. He was born Jan. 25, 1916 in New Madrid County, Mo. He was a retired employee of Delta airlines. He was a member of the Christian City Board of Advisors as well as a member of the Peachtree City Christian Church. Services were at the Peachtree City Christian Church with Minister George Dillard officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Newnan. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Hilma Lumsden, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Cathy and Warren Nunnelly, Alexander City, Ala.; granddaughters, Tammy Privette, Clair Cayton, and Angela Fralish; and eight great-grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
