Fayette Senior Services is accepting contributions for Project Love – the program that provides delicious and nutritionally balanced holiday meals to senior citizens in Fayette County. For more then ten years the program has been a heartfelt gesture of kindness to many of the community’s homebound seniors.

Donations of $10 or $25 can provide the recipients of Project Love with two Thanksgiving holiday meals, a five-day frozen meal pack for Christmas week, two “snow day” meals when the agency must be closed due to inclement weather, and a Christmas stocking filled with an assortment of small practical items. There is no limited to the amount of meals you can sponsor.

Executive Director, Andy Carden, explains why Project Love is so important in the community. “While Fayette Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels weekly program serves a hot lunch to more than 16 5homebound seniors in our community, we are not required to provide meals to our clients during the holidays or the days the agency is closed. We feel it is an act of love to go the extra mile to bring a little extra comfort to our community’s senior citizens during the holidays.”

To make a financial contribution, donate items to fill the senior’s Christmas stockings, or for more information about Project Love call Andy Carden at 770-461-0813 or visit www.fayss.org.
