Lighthouse welcomes new pastorTue, 10/31/2006 - 4:20pm

Members of Lighthouse United Methodist Church announce the arrival of their new lead pastor, the Rev. Mark Jordan, who comes from Coal Mountain Community UMC. Jordan grew up in Cobb County and entered the ministry in 1997 as a youth director and associate pastor for the Wesley Chapel UMC in Marietta. He also served as the associate pastor for the St. Andrew UMC in Marietta. Jordan holds a degree in social psychology from Georgia State University. He also holds a masters in divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He is 32 years old, married to Tiffany and together they have a son, Ethan Blake Jordan. Jordan’ will lead his first official worship service at Lighthouse this Sunday, Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the McIntosh High School Theater. A reception to welcome Jordan and his family will follow the worship service. The school is on Walt Banks Road off Ga. Hwy. 54. login to post comments |
