Turin UMC announces Christmas Craft FairTue, 10/31/2006 - 4:13pm

Turin United Methodist Church will have its Sonrise Christmas Craft Fair, Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall, The fair will include handmade Christmas decorations, gift baskets, baked goods, handmade wreaths, and knitted scarves and hats. For children, there will be a crafts section, where they can make gifts for family and friends. A special area will be a “Gently Used and Loved” section, spotlighting Christmas ornaments of old, donated by church members. The auction features a handmade quilt from Louisiana, a crocheted afghan, and a large purple wreath decorated for East Coweta High School students. A minimum bid will be placed for each item and $5 increments can be added throughout the day. Along with the craft fair will be the “Reel Men’s Club BBQ.” Tickets for the barbecue are $7 and can be purchased from the church. Reservations are suggested. Turin United Methodist is at 20 Longfellow Ave. in Turin, on Ga. Hwy. 16, across from the Turin Fire Department. login to post comments |
