Kristy Lynn Sorensen and Dennis Fairlon Roland Jr. were married Saturday, May 20, 2006, at New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Hugh Kirby officiating.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Sorensen of Peachtree City, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thelma Sorensen and the late Henry Sorensen of Boca Raton, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Foss of Fergus Falls, Minn.

The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Roland, Sr., of Hammond, La., is the grandson of Mrs. Doris Price and the late Peter Price Jr. of Audubon, N.J., and Mrs. Nadine Roland and the late David Roland, Sr. of Cochran, Ga.

The bride was attended by her sisters Mrs. Michelle Thompson of Lakeland, Tenn., and Mrs. April Oldham of Germantown, Tenn., as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Blaire Emery of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Mrs. Shelley Tanner of Athens, Katie Johnson of Denver, Colo., Lindsay Goss of Athens, Jordan Frye of Atlanta, and Dana Roland of Athens, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Faith Oldham of Germantown, Tenn., niece of the bride.

Dennis Roland Sr., served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Joel Shinpoch of Loganville, Jonathan Anderson of Athens, Mark Wilson of Athens, Jake Hooten of Smyrna, Michael McCluney of Athens, Ryan Thompson of Lakeland, Tenn., brother-in-law of the bride, and Ed Oldham of Germantown, Tenn., brother-in-law of the bride. The ring bearer was Carson Oldham of Germantown, Tenn., nephew of the bride.

The bride received her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from the University of Georgia and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She currently is an independent consultant with Arbonne International.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in sociology. He currently is a football player with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Tampa, Fla.
