Old Courthouse Pumpkin WalkI wanted to thank those that took the time to plan the Pumpkin Walk and other Halloween festivities over at the old Courthouse this year. I especially would like to thank every family in Fayette County that took the time to design a pumpkin for the event. Since my family and I moved here almost 9 years ago, this is one event that we look forward to each year and really adds to Halloween excitement for the kids. I'd even go as far as to call this event one of our family traditions now. I was thrilled to see that there were more decorated pumpkins than there were last year even though it may not have looked like it because they are now clustered together in specific areas rather than spread out. I was also happy to see the expanded festivities (i.e. tractor rides, music entertainment, concessions, inflatables, etc.)The Haunted House in the log cabin next to the fire house was also a nice touch. Let's hope we have even more pumpkins next year and this keeps expanding! To the fireman that was next to the ladder truck passing out candy for the kids ... you have no idea how much my son enjoyed the opportunity to stand in the bucket and next to the ladder truck while all the lights were on. That's all he's been talking about and now 1st on his Christmas list of toys. I think you just recruited a future fireman! 1BravesFan's blog | login to post comments |
