The Peachtree City Tourism Association (PCTA) will host a safe Trick-or-Treat with the Swingin’ Medallions on Saturday, Oct. 28 at The Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

“We are hosting this event to bring the community together and give local families the opportunity to have a safe trick-or-treat while listening to great music at a local venue,” said Lauren Yawn, executive director for the Peachtree City Tourism Association. “We are also excited to bring the Swingin’ Medallions back to Peachtree City!”

The Swingin’ Medallions will play two 75-minute sets with an intermission. The Fred sponsors and city entities will set up booths around the covered veranda to pass out candy and host kid-friendly activities during intermission.

The Swingin' Medallions have been based out of the Greenwood South Carolina area since the early 1960s. Their musical roots came from listening to the early rhythm and blues acts. The music most often associated with the band is beach music, frat rock, and R&B. The high energy party style stage performance of the first Medallions has been passed down to the band that performs today. The present Medallions stage show has coined them the name "The Party Band of the South."

Tickets to this event are free from children ages 10 and under and $10 for everyone else. Tickets can be purchased at the Fred box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster retail location or by calling 404-249-6400. The box office hours are Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. For more information about this and other events at The Fred, please visit www.amphitheater.org or call 770-631-0630.
