Home care company gets accreditation

K.C.’s Medical Home Care Supplies, Inc. proudly announces its award of accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the services of home medical equipment, clinical respiratory care, respiratory nebulizer medications, medical supply provider and post-mastectomy fitter.

ACHC, a private not-for-profit corporation, was developed by the homecare and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, “ The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and practices continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses.”

Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, K.C.’s Medical Home Care Supplies, Inc. has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence its products, services and customer satisfaction.

K.C.’s Medical Home Care Supplies, Inc. was established in 1988 and provides medical services to patients in a number of counties in the north and central Georgia area. Office hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. With an after-hours answering service, DME technicians and respiratory therapists are on call 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to serve patients.

All staff are licensed or certified and are required to attend regular industry accepted or accredited certification programs to maintain their level of proficiency. Extensive inservice training is also provided to improve the staff’s familiarity with company specific policies, procedures, and new information related to their field(s) of expertise.
