Hank Aaron Automotive Group has announced its donation to the American Red Cross to aid in the hurricane Katrina relief for victims.

The company “is extremely proud to support victims of the hurricane as many along the Gulf coast lost everything and families were separated from their loved ones for weeks with no means of communication,” according to a statement. “Many victims lost their homes and had to start completely over in an unfamiliar city and build a new life. We as a group and a family knew we had to help during this devastating time.”

Hank Aaron BMW, Hank Aaron Toyota, Hank Aaron Jaguar Land Rover, and Hank Aaron Honda donated 100 dollars per vehicle sold to help Hurricane Katrina Victims.

Aaron himself was strongly affected as he is from Mobile and has family in New Orleans. He welcomed displaced victims into his home offering them shelter from the storm.

“We can all feel and understand the pain that this natural disaster has placed on the nation,” a company spokesperson said. “Therefore, we offer our helping hand.”
