This extended body of work reflects my continuing need to have the power of color to convey the ideas, emotions, and concerns I need to express. These colorist abstractions are an attempt, on my part, to step away from the defined figure and form to make the statement that each piece does make.

I have tried to have most of my art speak to some meaningful aspect of this journey we call life: from its history, to its relationships, to its depravities, to its moments of glory. "Colored Statements" speaks to those who have eyes to see the message inside the color.
