Fire Dept. ready to scare

Starting tonight, the Peachtree City Fire Department will present its 2006 version of its haunted house for the Halloween season.

The house will be in operation at the Leach Fire Station on Paschall Road tonight and Saturday and also next Friday and Saturday from 7 to 11:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, with funds going toward training and equipment for the fire department.

A separate kiddie haunt and moonwalk for children 10 years old and younger is also offered at a cost of $3 per person.

The department has already begun its annual pumpkin sale with a variety of sizes to choose from at the Leach Fire Station and the Weber FIre Station on south Peachtree Parkway.
