McIntosh Lady Chiefs and OLM Bobcats win county cross country titles

The McIntosh Lady Chiefs, led by senior Emily Borsare, captured another county cross country championship on Wednesday afternoon. McIntosh had four runners in the top 10. They were followed by Starr’s Mill, Whitewater, Our Lady of Mercy and Sandy Creek High School.

The top five runners for McIntosh were:
• Emily Borsare, 1, 18:42
• Kate West, 2, 20:20
• Kaia Hampton, 7, 21:24
• Rebecca Stokes, 10, 21:44
• Meghan Takacs, 15, 22:26

Starr’s Mill’s top five were:
• Jackie Sample, 3, 20:21
• Sarah Balkcom, 9, 21:37
• Molly Musselwhite, 11, 21:58
• Jamie Burr, 13, 22:11
• Ginny Hyer, 17, 22:37

Whitewater’s top five were:
• Kasie Knapper, 5, 21:10
• Brianna Londrillo, 6, 21:20
• Feagan Hunt, 16, 22:33
• Katie Arrington, 23, 23:03
• Lauren Perkins, 24, 23:04

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were:
• Sarah Hohenberger, 4, 20:56
• Jessica Adams, 12, 22:06
• Ashley Kennedy, 14, 22;16
• Lauren Hohenberger, 27, 23:25
• Kelsey Oberst, 32, 24:15

Sandy Creek’s top five were:
• Alexis Blackburn, 8, 21:35
• Marina Fleming, 20, 22:52
• Mia Jones, 26, 23:24
• Shelby Bolling, 40, 25:22
• Emily Goss, 42, 26:53

Fayette County only had four finishers: Lilliana Urrego, 36, 24;51; Rebecca Kollmeyer, 37, 25:11; Rachel Shirley, 44, 28:50; Samantha Coppage, 45, 30:01.

Our Lady of Mercy’s boys took home the county championship with four runners in the top 10 as well, including brothers Jake and Matt Lethbridge in second and third place respectively behind Starr’s Mill’s Austin Enriquez. In second place was McIntosh, followed by Starr’s Mill, Whitewater, Fayette County and Sandy Creek. Times were not listed on the GATFXC.com web site at press time., although the place finishes of the runners had been posted.

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five finishers, in order, were: Jake Lethbridge, 2; Matt Lethbridge, 3; Thomas Raville, 5; Jared Cooper, 7 and Justin Yakubesan, 13.

McIntosh’s top five were: Michael Mateos, 4; Cormac Carolan-Tolbert, 10; Brenden Leonard, 12; Brian Huefner, 14 and Craig Western, 20.

Starr’s Mill’s top five were: Austin Enriquez, 1; Clay Ligon, 8; Warren Enriquez, 15; Eric Finke, 23 and Matthew Beeson, 24.

Whitewater’s top five were: Josh Adair, 9; Daniel Harlow, 18; Cory Nolan, 19; Austin Perry, 26 and Josiah Myerscough, 27.

Fayette County’s top five were: Ryan Kennedy, 6; David Zitelli, 11; Jacob Heard, 34; Brett Gaglione, 40 and Mark Torre, 45.
Sandy Creek’s top five were: Dustin Page, 21; Joseph Grannis, 46; Ryan LeBlanc, 47; Jerry Riet, 51 and Eric Strother, 52.
