These recalls were issued from Oct. 8 to Oct. 12 by various federal and state agencies. BLACK & DECKER BLOWER/VACUUMS CAN OVERHEAT Black & Decker is recalling BV4000 Type 1 Blower/Vacs sold nationwide from April 2004 to July 2005. A loose connection between the blower/vac and an extension cord can cause overheating, posing a fire hazard. This recall involves Black & Decker model BV4000 Type 1 blower/vacs. The model and type number are printed on a nameplate on the right side of the unit. The blower/vacs have an orange housing and a black blower assembly. Consumers should contact Black & Decker at (866) 853-2138 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, for a free repair kit. CHANGING TABLES POSE FALL HAZARD Sandinavian Child is recalling Cariboo™ Folding Changing Tables and Cariboo™ Bassinet Changers sold nationwide from September 2005 to September 2006. If the zipper is misaligned, it can come apart and allow the cloth surface to separate, posing a fall hazard. The frame of the folding changing table is made of wood with two folding legs and has a cream-colored changing table cloth surface with zippers and side pockets. The product also has a bottom shelf cloth with Velcro strips. The frame of the bassinet changer is made of wood and has a cream colored changing table cloth surface with zippers that attaches to the top rails.
