Last Grantville gospel sing for 2005 will be Nov. 25, 26

The final two gospel sings at the old train depot in Grantville are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26, at 7 p.m. The special night will be African-American night.

Friday night’s sing will feature the Rev. Jerry Yates, pastor of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Newnan; the Rev. Danny Spencer, pastor of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Franklin; the White family from Grantville; Marie Bulloch of Warm Springs; the Ladies of Grace from LaGrange; and Steve Presly of LaGrange.

Saturday night’s sing will feature the Burning Bush from Atlanta; Dan and Dora from Grantville; the Jehovah Baptist Church quartet from Grantville; Tony Nalls from Grantville; and Johnny Nalls from Newnan.

The event is free and refreshments will be available.

Gospel sings also are held at the old prison camp in Meriwether County (Harris City), between Grantville and Warm Springs the first Saturday night of each month from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
