Brenda Rayburn of Habitat for Humanity recently announced RE/MAX Advantage as the Anchor Sponsor for the home being built in Henry County. “Leslie Edwards, managing partner of RE/.MAX Advantage has always been a strong supporter of Habitat, now she has the whole company working together to help provide a home for a family, that otherwise might go without” stated Brenda.

Kick off for the build will be Oct. 7, where volunteers from RE/MAX Advantage will be raising the walls of the home. The construction will continue every Saturday and selected weekdays until the home is completed.

The goal is to have the family moved in by Christmas. To qualify for a Habitat for Humanity Home families must pass rigorous qualification process. After being selected the family receives coaching and training designed to facilitate successful homeownership. In addition to this training the selected family is required to contribute 200 hours more of sweat equity. Habitat homeowners make monthly house payments and these funds are used in turn to support the construction of more Habitat houses.

Habitat for Humanity gives families a hand-up to a better future, and builds better communities as a result.

Teri Held, V.P. and principal broker commented on RE/MAX Advantage’s involvement in the project. We are honored to be part of such an important community project. This gives us a chance to work together to benefit our community”.

RE/MAX Advantage has the #1 Sales Volume on Atlanta’s Southside with locations in Jonesboro, Stockbridge and Jackson with a McDonough office opening in Fall 2006. RE/MAX Advantage is ranked #231 Nationally by RisMedia Real Estate Magazine’s Top 2005 National Power Broker Survey.
