Whitt to lead Senoia Baptist’s revival starting this SundayTue, 10/10/2006 - 4:42pm

First Baptist Church of Senoia will host its 2006 Fall Revival services this Sunday, Oct. 15 through Wednesday, Oct. 18. Evening services will begin at 6:30 p.m. with special music from Reign Song and this year’s Revival Choir. Guest evangelist, Dr. Don Whitt will preach. Whitt is visiting Senoia from Tennessee. He has preached at more than 400 local church revivals, several area wide crusades, state pastor’s conferences, state evangelism conferences and college and seminary chapel services. He has pastored churches for more than 30 years. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., a master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, and a doctor of ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia. In addition to Whitt as guest evangelist, Reign Song, a trio from Tennessee will lead worship services through gospel music. Stacy and Gina Cooper along with Courtney Elliott make up this Christian group which has appeared on stage at Abraham Production’s Singing in the Sun in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. Revival begins during the 11 a.m. Sunday morning service. There is a special emphasis for each night of revival, and all evening services begin at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, is “Old Fashioned Day.” Those attending are encouraged to dress up in old fashioned attire and enjoy some common activities, music, and fun from the past. Monday, Oct. 16 is “Sunday School Night.” Everyone is encouraged to sit with their Sunday School classes. Tuesday, Oct. 17 is “Friend Night.” Everyone is asked to bring a friend to the services. Wednesday, Oct. 18 is “Family Night.” Everyone is encouraged to bring their family or adopt one that night. A free family meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
