The town of Grantville will host its final two monthly gospel sings for the year Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and 28, at the Freight Depot. As usual, there is no admission charge and the atmosphere is informal and picnic-like. Singing begins at 7 p.m. and usually continues for about three hours. The performers for Friday are Family Circle from Hogansville, The Whites from Grantville, Eloise Maddox from LaGrange, Marie Bulloch from Columbus, Victoria Honea from Newnan, and Casey Lawson from LaGrange. In addition to her singing, Victoria, who is only 14 years old, will also give her testimony and an account of her calling to the mission field. The performers for Saturday are Travelers Quartet from Columbus, Young Spirit from Manchester, Knox Family from Tallahassee, Christianaires from LaGrange, and, from Phenix City, the Godin Family which consists of Dan and Karen Godin and their 12 children, all but the youngest of whom will perform on strings playing bluegrass.
