Colorful Arts Society, Inc. hosts seventh annual gala

The Colorful Arts Society, Inc. (CAS), a nonprofit organization in the metropolitan area, will host its seventh annual Gala and Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Sunday, October 15, at 4:30 p.m. in the Atlanta City Hall Atrium. This annual event helps fund the scholarship program and year-round calendar of cultural events.

The Atlanta City Hall Atrium located at 55 Trinity Avenue provides the atmosphere for an exciting cultural event. The gala will showcase a pre-professional artist from the community and feature jazz trumpeter, Gregorie “Milkshake” Mayfield and The Milkshake Quintet. Jovita Moore of WSB-TV and Terrance McKnight of Georgia Public Broadcasting will serve as the Mistress and Master of Ceremonies. In addition, a silent auction and reception are planned as part of the affair.

Tickets may be purchased from any CAS member for $50.

CAS is a nonprofit organization which promotes the appreciation, support and involvement of the arts by the general public. Toward this goal, CAS presents events that cross the disciplines of dance, music, theatre, film, literature, folk arts, fine crafts and visual arts.
