The Peachtree City Dog Park will host a party marking its first “birthday” Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The party will feature refreshments, agility demonstrations, a doggie kissing booth, face painting, dog-related vendors and a dog costume contest. Admission is free.

The park opened last year after several years of planning and fund-raising; the land was donated by the City Council. The park is administered by the non-profit, all volunteer Peachtree CIty Dog Park Association.

The dog park is located in the McIntosh recreation area behind the BMX track and is open to all county residents. For more information, visit www.ptcdogpark.com.
