Lekotek of Georgia, a nonprofit organization making a difference for children with disabilities, is delighted to open a southside Lekotek at the Joseph Sams School in Fayetteville. Lekotek Leaders, trained in special education, use select toys, educational materials, computer software, and adapted devices making it possible for all children to develop new skills while interacting with siblings and peers. Lekotek play sessions (which are once a month for an hour) include all family members and focus on the child’s abilities. All materials used during play sessions are loaned to the family.
