He is a man on a mission, but the mission is not his own. Obadiah Franklin wants little attention paid to him. The minister has traveled to 25 states in the past four years prior to his stop at Hudson Plaza in Fayetteville, bearing an 8-foot by 12-foot cedar cross. The red cross and its dimensions, even the clothes he wears, are the result of a direct message from God to spread the Gospel, he says. Franklin’s focus on Christ includes keeping his own face hidden from view. “I keep my cap down on my face because it’s not about me,” Franklin said. “It’s about Him.”
