A Georgia Tech student was arrested Thursday at the Peachtree City Library after arranging to meet a girl he thought was 14 years old for a sexual act, police said.

Miguel Angel Osnaya Velazquez, 25, a Mexican national, was charged with violation of the computer pornography and child exploitation act of 1999, police said.

Velazquez was arrested by officers while he was chatting online at a library computer with the undercover officer he was supposed to meet, said Police Chief James Murray.

This is the 11th arrest Peachtree City police have made since beginning its special Internet task force to focus on predators that target children.

Parents are encouraged to use special software to monitor their children's Internet activities, police said.
