Mary Nell Johnston, 84, Peachtree City, died Sept. 28, 2006. She was born Nov. 18, 1921 in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Johnston, and a sister, Mildred Stovall. She was a past member of the Baptist Tabernacle in Atlanta, and worked with SAFECO Insurance until her retirement. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Magnolia Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a nephew, G. Warren Stovall, Jacksonville, Fla.; a niece, Carol Stovall, Arlington, Va.; great-nephews, Brian Robertson, Duluth, and Ryan Stovall, Jacksonville, Fla.; great-nieces, Tina and Terry Nix, Fayetteville; and Allison and Eric Gwisc, Jacksonville; and great-great-nephews, Brandon Nix, and Austin Nix, both of Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
