A Peachtree City teen has been arrested for a rape that occurred at a party almost one year ago, police said.

Vincent Tyler Villella, 17, of Pinegate Road, Peachtree City was arrested Friday after an extensive investigation into the case which included DNA testing and numerous interviews, police said.

The reported rape occurred at a party that was held in a home on Loblolly Circle in the late evening or early morning hours of Oct. 15, 2005, police said.

Villella was charged with rape and sexual battery and remains in jail until a bond hearing Friday afternoon before a Fayette County Superior Court Judge.
