A Newnan woman has been arrested for using stolen credit card data to purchase gift cards at two Peachtree City restaurants, police said.

Carolyn Shepherd Menefee, 50, of Silverwood Drive was arrested Thursday at Valentino’s restaurant after she phoned in credit card information to secure some gift cards, police said. At the time, officers were investigating her for using a similar scheme at The Original Pancake House, police said.

Menefee was arrested for two counts of financial identity fraud and one count of giving a false name to a police officer.

There are five more warrants on Menefee from Texas for felony fraud and forgery charges, and more charges are expected, police said.

Information is being forwarded to the United States Secret Service about suspected social security number violations and fraud related activity, police said.
