The community is invited to join Fayette Middle as students celebrate their reading achievements with a special showing of the movie “Hoot.” All students at the school have been reading the best-selling novel by popular children’s author Carl Hiaasen. A New York Times bestseller, “Hoot” revolves around a young boy who moves to Florida where he tries to solve an ecological mystery involving endangered owls, an assortment of other unusual creatures and a group of eccentric adults. The Villages Amphitheater will host a free showing of the movie based on an adaptation of the popular novel October 6 from 7-10 p.m. All Fayette residents and their families are invited to attend this free event. “We are very proud of our students and want to celebrate their reading success with the entire Fayette community,” says Principal Sharlene Patterson. login to post comments |
