Moore joins staff of Flat Creek BaptistTue, 09/26/2006 - 3:16pm

Ron Moore has been called as associate pastor of music and worship at Flat Creek Baptist Church, effective this Sunday, Oct. 1. Moore was graduated from Newnan High School in 1970 and from West Georgia College with a bachelor of music degree. He then was graduated from Luther Rice Seminary, Jacksonville, Fla., with a master of divinity in church music. Moore is certified in Continuing Witness Training and MasterLife. Moore served as minister of music/youth at East Side Baptist Church in Dalton from September 1975 – January 1977; as minister of music/youth at First Baptist Church in Chatsworth from February 1977 - July 1986; as minister of music/youth at Ash Street Baptist Church in Forest Park from August 1986 - January 1998; and as minister of music at First Baptist Church in Perry from January 1998 to the present. He and his wife, the former Diane Newby of Newnan, have three children, Lauren, Lindsay and Landon Moore. Their daughter Lauren has just recently married and lives in Athens. login to post comments |
