Blanche O. Mowell, 91, Fayetteville, died Sept. 12, 2006. She was born May 1, 1915 in Pickens County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Mowell Sr., a daughter and son-in-law, Eva and T. Welton Smith, and a grandson, Phil Brown. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Bill Priester officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill, Fairburn. Survivors include a son, C. J. and Faye Mowell Jr., Fayetteville; a daughter, Georgia M. and Donnie Brown, Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Judy and Glenn Ratliff, Don and Jackie Brown, Becky and David Arnall, Beth and Scott Axelberg, Ferrell and Kellie Mowell, and David and April Mowell; and 19 great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
