Amanda Kay Lakeman and Brandon Wayne Tech were married July 1, 2006, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crestview, Fla. Pastor Vance Tech, the groom’s father, conducted the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Dale and Cathie Lakeman of Wedowee, Ala., formerly of Fayetteville. She is a junior at Auburn University studying preveterinary medicine. Her grandparents attending were Mickey and Jean Williams of Sharpsburg and Bill and Jewel Lakeman of Haleyville, Ala. The groom is the son of Vance Tech of Crestview, Fla. He is a police officer in Opelika, Ala. His grandparents attending were Hazel and John Carlucci of Florida, and Edward and Virginia Clark of Locust Grove. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Michaelangelo gown that featured a halter neckline and a corset-style bodice adorned with pearls. She wore a nugget ring in memory of her late grandmother, Rose Lakeman, and a pair of pearl earrings given by her mother. Organ music was provided by the groom’s grandmother, Hazel Carlucci, with trumpet and french horn accompaniment by cousins Brianna and Hillary Nofil, and a solo by cousin Lauren Wallice. Maid of honor was Beth Martin. Bridesmaids were Tracey Russo and the groom’s three sisters, Christin Hunter, Emily Tech and Dianna Tech as junior bridesmaid. Maggie Lakeman, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Andrew Tech, brother of the groom, was best man. Standing with the groom were his uncles, Steve Wallice and Joe Nofil, and the bride’s two brothers, Jeremy and Christopher Lakeman. A dinner reception followed the ceremony, with dancing at the Foxwood Country Club. The brides’s dad was the D.J. The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in Auburn, Ala. login to post comments |
