Beverlie James “Jim” Melvin, 64, College Park, died Sept. 4, 2006. He was born June 25, 1942 in Tazewell, Va. Memorial services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Melvin, College Park; a son, John and Darlene Melvin, Peachtree City; a daughter, Lisa and Dan Harrell, Fayetteville; sisters, Mary Lou Miller, Malinda Lewis, and Patricia Thompson; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Melvin.
