Fayetteville resident Cook receives executive appointment

Frances H. Cook, 65, of Fayetteville, Ga., a community/public health dietetics representative was recently named to the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians by Governor Sonny Perdue. Cook is the director of the nutrition section and the public health dietetic internship at the Georgia Department of Human Resources. She is a member of the Georgia Dietetic Association, the American Dietetic Association, the Georgia Public Health Association, the American Public Health Association, the Society for Nutrition Education and the Georgia Nutrition Council Human Resources. She is a member of the Leadership Georgia Foundation, Inc. and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Managers, Inc. Cook is a five-time recipient of the American Dietetic Association’s “Outstanding Service Award.” She earned a bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University, a master’s degree from New York University and a certified public manager degree from the University of Georgia. She is married to Edmond Cook.
