Plans are underway for the 2006 Annual Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) Golf Tournament and Fund Raiser. The event will be on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Whitewater Creek Country Club in Fayetteville. Proceeds will benefit Promise Place which assists domestic abuse victims in Fayette County.
The day’s events include registration at 11 a.m., lunch on golf carts at 12:15 p.m., shotgun format golf beginning at 1 p.m., and food, raffle and prizes at 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, and a putting contest. Two hole-in-one prizes are sponsored by Don Jackson Lincoln-Mercury and attorneys Schlepian & Schwartz, LLC. Cost is $100 per player which includes lunch, beverages, drawings and range balls. Promise Place was established in 1989 to assist domestic abuse victims in Fayette county and now serves more than 400 women and 500 children each year. In additional, they reach more than 2,000 students in the Fayette school system through their teen dating violence program. Promise Place offers one of the only programs in Georgia where victims and their children can live in safe secure apartment homes for several months while they transition from abusive situations to self-supporting healthy environments. To register a team, sponsor a hole and/or donate items for the raffle, contact WCR Golf Tournament Co-chairs Kim Daniel or Angela Chiasson at The Home Source Realtors, 770-487-9722. Registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 2. Registration forms are available from Daniel or Chiasson or at monthly WCR meetings. login to post comments |
