Mr. and Mrs. Gary H. Rupert of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Erin, to David Andrew Yanik, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Yanik of Wiesbaden, Germany.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Hoke and Margaret Propes of Jonesboro and the late Willard and Stella Rupert of Anaheim, Calif. She is a 2000 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is employed by Nationwide Insurance Company.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late John and Sue Yanik of Fairfield, Conn. and the late Jesus and Ida San Lius of Washington, D.C. He is a 1998 graduate of Kent Ridge High in Kent, Washington, and a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed by Kenan Transport.

The wedding will be Oct. 14, 2006, at the Fayette Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. A reception will follow at the Glendalough Manor in Tyrone.

After a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Alpharetta.
