Local cross country teams perform in first big weekend of meets

In the Mercy Invitational at Our Lady of Mercy last Saturday, Whitewater’s girls placed fifth, while Our Lady of Mercy placed eighth.

The top five runners for Whitewater were:
• Kasie Knapper, 4, 20:29
• Mary Roberts, 12, 21:18
• Katie Arrington, 41, 22:49
• Claire Huff, 45, 22:57
• Julia Kortrey, 53, 23:31

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were:
• Sarah Hohenberger, 10, 21:11
• Jessica Adams, 20, 21:43
• Lauren Hohenberger, 47,23:08
• Ashley Kennedy, 49, 23:21
• Kelly Tolcher, 99, 26:35

Our Lady of Mercy’s boys placed second behind Wesleyan, while Whitewater placed seventh.

The top five runners for Our Lady of Mercy were:
• Jake Lethbridge, 1, 16:35
• Matt Lethbridge, 2, 16:39
• Thomas Raville, 9, 17:32
• Tim Kennedy, 16, 18:07
• Udare Santha, 23, 18:15

The top five for Whitewater were:
• Josh Adair, 32, 18:28
• Daniel Harlow, 45, 18:55

• William Morrissey, 64, 19:32
• Anthony Morrissey, 66, 19:33

In the Carrollton Invitational, McIntosh’s girls placed 12th in the championship division. Their top five were:

• Emily Kim, 72, 22:54
• Meghan Takacs, 84, 23:15
• Rebecca Stokes, 91, 23:33
• Christian Downing, 93, 23:35

The McIntosh boys placed 18th in the championship division: Their top five runners were:
• Michael Mateos, 18, 16:54
• Cormac Carolan-Tolbert, 100, 18:32
• Craig Western, 105, 18:42
• Brian Huefner, 128, 19:03
• David Fratto, 130, 19:05

In the AAAA girls division, Starr’s Mill placed second and Fayette County placed 10th. The top five runners for Starr’s Mill were:

• Sarah Balkcom, 12, 22:46
• Ginny Hyer, 18, 23:13
• Molly Musselwhite, 22, 23;23
• Kelly McNair, 23, 23:24

Fayette County’s top five were:

In the boys AAAA division, Starr’s Mill placed first and Fayette County placed sixth. The top five runners for Starr’s Mill were:

In the Class A-AAA division, Landmark Christian’s girls placed second. Their top five runners were:
