State meets successful ventures for local teams

Three cross country teams from Coweta County ran in the state cross country meets last Saturday, all performing well against some of the top teams and runners in the state.

In the class AAAA meet, Northgate’s boys and girls placed 13th and 14th respectively. Their top five runners were:

Northgate boys, 13th
• Andrew Rodriguez, 32, 17:37
• Daniel Rodriguez, 71, 18:19
• Luke Francis, 77, 18:24
• Aaron Gall, 105, 18:47
• Jeremy Mosely, 109, 18:52

Northgate girls, 14th
• Hannah Gray, 23, 20:52
• T. Jaye Hansen, 47, 21:53
• Natalie Pluskota, 67, 22:16
• Crystal Mosely, 102, 23:28
• Clare Madrid, 111, 23:40

In the AAAAA meet, East Coweta’s boys placed 29th. Their top five runners were:

• Jason Weeks, 195, 20:49

McIntosh’s state champion girls cross country team was ranked sixth among all classification girl teams in the gatfxc.com final cross country rankings. Landmark Christian received an honorable mention. McIntosh’s Emily Borsare was named to the Girls All State individual first team, while Matt Lethbridge, the individual state champion in Class A, was named to the Boys All State individual second team.
